Concerning Shrapnel

1. an artillery shell designed to explode in mid-air with a lethal spray of metal projectiles.

2. fragments of a bomb, shell, or other object thrown out by an explosion.

Okay, since the only people that this picture that I am going to show you presently would only make sense to is people who are thoroughly learned in both Iron Man and Lord of the Rings, and I don't think any of me readers are, I will go into a brief explanation.

Tony Stark, genius, playboy, billionaire, etc... was wounded in an explosion and kidnapped. He was not going to be released until he had built a specific weapon for his captors (building weapons was his occupation). But, as I said, he had been wounded and there was shrapnel lodged in his chest and working towards his heart. It would kill him. His fellow prisoner installed an electromagnet, powered by a car battery, in his chest to keep the shrapnel out of his heart. But the car battery wasn't good enough. Tony Stark built a miniature ARC Reactor to power the electromagnet. The ARC Reactor was a wonderful, glowing, circle of exquisite technology. It saved Mr. Stark's life, and he used it to power an armor suit and eventually became Iron Man.

This next fellow takes less explaining. Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit, was traveling with some friends when the company met with some Ringwraiths. One of them, the leader, stabbed Frodo in the shoulder. It was a terrible wound. But worst of all, a shard of the Ringwraith's sword broke off and became lodged in poor Frodo's shoulder and was working it's way towards his heart.

Now, if you have been paying attention, you will get this.

Have a wonderful day.

All of this was purely my idea. Well, not Frodo and Tony, but putting them together. I made the picture, with LOTS of much appreciated help from Kae. :)
