Oh man! Am I ever mortified! Monday came and went like *Blip* and I completely forgot about the Monday Grin! O_O
But a late grin is better than no grin, right?
It's Orlando Bloom. He is dressed as Legolas, but it's not Legolas: you know because he is smiling. ;)

Yeah, Legolas doesn't smile much in the movie. The elves in the books, however, always seemed to be merry, even when leaving their home.

The elves could be serious, though! Very serious. In The Hobbit, they were merry, but in LotR, they were very serious.

Not always. When Frodo and Sam stayed with the Woodelves at the beginning of their journey, they were laughing a good deal (pretty much the opposite of the way the scene was done in the movie).
Yeah, it was pretty much the opposite. But they could be serious. Glorfindel was serious. Gildor was serious.
Elrond was serious. ;)
