Moi, 'cause I really did not feel like looking for someone else, and I had a grin handy.

Have a great week. :)

The other week I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I sat in bed and watched The Bourne Identity on Netflix.
Not bad. I mean, It could have been better, but it was really not bad. I enjoyed it very much, and am rather annoyed that Netflix doesn't have the other two Bourne movies on the instant watch thing.
It was very interesting and realistic (The plot was believable.) and cool. It was kinda hard to figure out what was going on at times, and in the end it was a bit anticlimactic. But really, for the most part, it was very, very cool. It only had one major problem. Since brevity is the soul of wit, And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief.
They could have gotten someone better to play Jason Bourne.
(I guess Chris Hemsworth was only 19 in 2002...)
He just did not seem right, somehow. And he only had like 2 different facial expressions in the whole move. And also, how did he find what must have been at least 15 minutes each day to shave, while running from the CIA or whoever that was. That, I don't get.
It was still a cool movie, though. :)

Kae and I very often have interesting conversations.
Like the other day, for example, she, being a Transformers fangirl, and me, being a Marvel nerd, were discussing what would happen if Soundwave and Loki ever got together. (And if you are not familiar with transformers or Marvel Comics, just take my word for it that that is the single most awesome Bad-guy combination ever.)
We were loading the dishwasher or something and I brought it up. One of us said something about how first they would charm 80% of the fangirl population. (Both Kae and I find Soundwave rather charming, I don't know what she thinks of Loki.) It must have been me, because I recall Kae saying something about 80% being to low.
It was pretty simple: they team up and take over the world. For those two, it wouldn't be hard. Then one of them takes out the other, it is just a matter of which one does it first. Kae was certain it would be Soundwave: "He'd just have to step on him." I knew otherwise, though. Loki would take out Soundwave. We argued about it a bit.
"But Soundwave is telepathic!"
"Yeah, but Loki's a god!"
I think I eventually convinced her that Loki would take out Soundwave.
Yes, it is a good and nice plan and all, Soundwave and Loki taking over the world, but there are the Autobots and I guess Thor would come to stop Loki (Prime is very, very big on not harming the humans, so he might not want Loki to get hurt, even though he's not human...), so I don't know how far they would get.
To bad: the two of them trying to kill each other would have made an EPIC fight scene...

Well, several grins, actually.
I was reading Peanuts last night (I love, I really, really love Peanuts, by the way.) so this morning when I was trying to think of something, I thought of them.

:D Sweet, no?

This is the 200th post on JGO. :D Kinda cool. I mean, sure, a lot of blogs have a lot more posts than that, but 200 is kinda a big number in my book.
I went back and looked at all of the old posts. I made myself laugh quite a few times. You know, I don't have as many epic one-liners as I used to. I'll have to work on that...
Anyhow, I picked out a few of JGO's crowning moments. (The first four are my personal favorites. )

It's just that simple...

I was going through a box that has been under my bed for the past who-knows-how-long. It is one of those boxes that you tend to never think about because you really don't like it: it's full of stuff I did as a kid, and other things that if I said on here it would ruin my reputation (I was a kid, kids like very un-cool stuff. Girl kids, that is. ) It was drawings and paintings, mostly. The drawings were hideous and and the paintings were even worse. More than once I found myself muttering "yuck." It was basically horses (I really just like them because that was what everyone liked.) ponies (If I said what kind I would embarrass myself.) dinosaurs (I wasn't completely boring as a kid.) some cat stuff (I won't deny that I loved cats. I still love cats.) and drawings of women that at the time I thought were pretty good.
In the midst of all of this depressing and humiliating stuff, there came a lovely ray of joy. It was a piece of paper just like the all the others, and on it, there was a ballerina, a "beautiful" blonde ballerina in a pink and purple tutu (*cringe*). She wasn't that bad, actually, mostly just her head. I looked at the paper a bit more closely and noticed something else that made me smile and laugh. Two people in a rather well done little tank with a big gun. I just sat there thinking to myself, yes! this is so me: a graceful ballerina on the same page as an army tank.
It made me very happy, somehow, to know that when I was a little kid, I was a little bit like I am now.
